My name is Zach Craddock and I am pleased to be able to serve you as the principal of Sierra High School. I am happy that you have visited and are exploring our School Webpage. We hope you find it informative, helpful, and educational as you learn more about Sierra High School.
Sierra High School is dedicated to helping each of our students reach their maximum potential and graduate with the knowledge necessary to become successful in all their future endeavors. We have a staff of over 100 teachers, paraprofessionals, and support personnel. We serve nearly 900 students, and we are located in the heart of Colorado Springs. The primary goal of each member of our team is to guide our students, and your children, through the many challenges they will face while at school. These range from preparing for the rigorous class offerings, deciding on careers and college, choosing from the many clubs, activities, and sports offered, and making positive choices that will make them productive members of our society.
At Sierra High School we welcome parent involvement. We believe that only by working together we are able to help our students reach great heights. We invite you to set up conferences with your child's teachers to discuss class requirements and any concerns you may have. We welcome your input in our continuous efforts to improve our school and encourage you to attend as many events as possible. I encourage those interested in joining the Principals Advisory Council to contact the school to learn more about how they can get involved.
We also believe that in order to achieve, students need to be in a safe, orderly, well managed environment. Our students are expected to follow a set of procedures that will help them develop into productive, hard working citizens. We set rigorous standards for our students, and all staff members will hold them accountable to these standards. We make no apologies for demanding excellence; this is the new Sierra standard. In order to successfully compete in today's job market, students must have a thorough understanding of the many concepts they will face in the future. They must be able to think creatively, be technology literate, and work cooperatively with peers. Our curriculum is designed to maximize these skills and ensure that we are constantly challenging all students. Our staff is prepared and ready for this challenge.
Please rest assured that your child's education, well being, and future success are our all encompassing goals and our primary mission. We thank you in advance for your help and support in aiding us as we work toward these goals. Our doors are always open, and we encourage you to stop by and visit the school any time to see the quality education our faculty and staff are providing your children. Please enjoy exploring the rest of our web page, and feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Zach Craddock
